Theatrecraft
This style of dance can be described as the art of performing to an audience. It is a form of dance aimed at honing and developing skills needed for theatrical performance. This is achieved through carrying out a wide range of toning exercises, rhythmic development training, inspiring artistic ability through dance movement(s) and interpretation of music. It is the dance form that brings together the essence of most musicals both old and new and also encourages characterisation so often seen in musicals. The use of hand props are is also taught in theatre craft and provides the essential qualities needed for both amateur and professional dancers on a stage.
