Tap

Tap

A dance style where the movements are concentrated in your feet. You create sound(s) with your feet, therefore not needing to rely on music. A good sense of rhythm and timing is helpful. Famous tap dancers include Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, the Nicholas Brothers and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. Tap also features in many musicals, most noticeably 42nd Street and Crazy for You, and with more contemporary takes on tap such as Tap Dogs making tap dancing 'cool' there's never been a better time to start learning! The IDTA syllabus is taught at the school with pupils encouraged to take examinations in the subject, enabling them to gain a suitable background/basis of tap dance.

Classes for Children and Adults are on offer.
